The following syllabus was created for an intensive three-week online course that I have taught online during winter and summer sessions at Westchester Community College in New York. This version focuses on film comedy from three countries: Britain, France, and Italy. I have also taught course for adult groups and undergraduates that feature comedies from elsewhere, including Russia, Scandinavia, India, East Asia, and Africa. Look for a selected filmography (“Global Film Comedy”) for these regions posted elsewhere on this website.
